PeapodMats are not recommended for babies under the age of 1 while sleeping or unattended. Babies should sleep in a clear cot with no loose bedding.

What size should I order?

Our size recommendations are:

Small - chairs, armchairs, wheelchair, car seat protection.

Medium - toddler and single beds

We highly recommend that the PeapodMat is placed slightly under the pillow.

How do PeapodMats work?

The liquid is dispersed quickly between the top and middle layers. Unlike some mattress protectors, PeapodMats washable bed pads absorb the liquid, so it doesn't sit on top of the mat, wetting the entire bedding.


Please note that although PeapodMats absorb liquid quickly, the mat remains wet to touch and we recommend changing your PeapodMat after the bedwetting accident.

Washing instructions

PeapodMats were designed to make life easier. You can wash your PeapodMat like a big towel. Wash with similar colours. We don't recommend regular use of fabric softener, dryer sheets, dryer balls or regular use of vinegar or stain removers. These products are known to reduce the quality of waterproofing. However, vinegar or stain removers may be used once in a while if you need extra help with your PeapodMat.

Brilliant product

Excellent service and excellent product. I use the large one I purchased last year on my bed for my dog to sleep on and have just purchased a small one for her favourite armchair. I can now relax knowing my bed and furniture are protected from any small accidents. They wash well and I can highly recommend them.

Peapod mats

Great large size one for the bed, however have found that it does not wash up very nicely, looks like it's had about 50 washes. (Washed as per instructions) bit disappointed as quite expensive. The smaller chair peapods are the same. :(

Hello Mary, thank you for your feedback and we're sorry you feel this way! PeapodMats should be cared for in the same way as your regular towels. Fabric softener can be used from time to time, however be aware that using too much fabric softener, might cause your mat to stiffen (like what would happen with your towels). If you find that this is the case, we recommend washing your PeapodMat with a cup of white vinegar and/or baking soda, with a thorough rinse.
